Economic Development Advisory Committee

Purpose: The Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC) was formed in 1979 when the Commission became an Economic Development District of the Economic Development Administration (EDA). The committee is comprised of Economic Development professionals who represent public, nonprofit, and private entities from throughout the eight county region. The primary roles of the EDAC are to oversee the annual community economic development project survey and to revise and update the region's Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

Strategy Committee: This committee is comprised of private sector businesses that meet monthly as part of the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Alliance. Representatives from these companies will review and update the goals and strategies outlined in the CEDS. EDA requires private sector participation in creating and updating the goals and strategies. The EDAC will incoporate the goals and strategies within the CEDS.

Note: The Commission's current 2012 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy will be updated in 2016 for years 2017-2021.
