Environmental Corridors of the Bay-Lake Region

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission is in the beginning stages of updating its regional environmental corridor dataset. Currently, GIS datasets created nearly 10 years ago are being utilized for community resources and planning documents.

The current regional environmental corridor dataset consists of the following:

  • 100-Year Floodplain
  • Steep Slopes (12% or Greater)
  • Wetlands Greater than 2 acres (with a 50 foot setback)
  • Surface Water (with a 75 foot setback)

The Commission is asking for public and community input on what the Bay-Lake region would like to see in this regional environmental corridor update. This short online survey is designed to provide input on the current corridor dataset and what a future dataset might consist of. To take the survey please click here

Thank you in advance for your input, if you have any questions or concerns about environmental corridors or this project please contact Adam Christensen or Nicole Barbiaux.
