LAND AND WATER RESOURCE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE


Project Summary

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission is currently working with Florence County to update its Land and Water Resource Management Plan.  The document will guide agencies in the protection, management, and restoration of land and water resources for the next 10 years.

Florence County is located in northeastern Wisconsin. Neighboring counties include Iron County, MI to the north, Dickinson County, MI to the east, Forest County, WI to the west and southwest, and Marinette County, WI to the south. Five watersheds are located within the County and are made up of sixteen sub-watersheds. The County is about 497 square miles in size and consists of eight towns.
