Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The TIP is a four-year listing of transit operating and capital, elderly and disabled transportation operating and capital, transportation enhancement, and street and highway improvements in the Sheboygan metropolitan planning area. All major projects receiving federal funding must be included in the TIP. Projects are solicited from jurisdictions in the metropolitan planning area and are incorporated into the TIP. The draft TIP is reviewed by the MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees and by private transportation providers, and the general public is invited to offer comments on the projects. The TIP is forwarded to the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission for final approval. It should be noted that regionally significant transportation projects, regardless of funding source, need to be included in the TIP.

DRAFT Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2020 - 2023

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission has released the draft Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2020-2023 for a public comment period that runs through October 24, 2019. All interested persons are invited to comment on the preliminary draft of the 2020-2023 TIP.

Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2019 - 2022

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2019 - 2022 on October 26, 2018. The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the 2019 - 2022 TIP at their joint meeting on October 25, 2018. The 2019 - 2022 TIP has been found to conform to the State Implementation Plan for Air Quality. The 2019 - 2022 TIP was approved by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation in a letter dated December 14, 2018.

Approved Minor Amendments to the 2019 - 2022 TIP

January 2019

The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the above amendments at their joint meeting on January 24, 2019. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at a meeting of its Executive Committee on January 25, 2019. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) approved the amendments listed above in a letter dated February 13, 2019.

April 2019

The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the above amendments at their joint meeting on April 25, 2019. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at a meeting of its Executive Committee on April 26, 2019. WisDOT approved the amendments listed above in a letter dated May 23, 2019.
