Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)

The TIP is a four-year listing of transit operating and capital, elderly and disabled transportation operating and capital, transportation enhancement, and street and highway improvements in the Sheboygan metropolitan planning area. All major projects receiving federal funding must be included in the TIP. Projects are solicited from jurisdictions in the metropolitan planning area and are incorporated into the TIP. The draft TIP is reviewed by the MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees and by private transportation providers, and the general public is invited to offer comments on the projects. The TIP is forwarded to the Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission for final approval. It should be noted that regionally significant transportation projects, regardless of funding source, need to be included in the TIP.

SHEBOYGAN METROPOLITAN PLANNING AREA TIP: CALENDAR YEARS 2024 - 2027

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2024 - 20267on October 27, 2023. The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the 2024 - 2027 TIP at their joint meeting on October 26, 2023. The 2024 - 2027 TIP has been found to conform to the State Implementation Plan for Air Quality.

aPPROVED MINOR AMENDMENT TO THE 2024-2027 TIP

March 2024

Approved minor ammendment to the 2024-2027 TIP can be found below in Table 3 and Table 7:

• Table 3 - Elderly and Disabled Transportation Projects
• Tabled 7 - Programmed and Available Federal Funding

The Sheboygam MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the above amendments to their joint meeting on January 25, 2024. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at its Full Commission meeting on March 8, 2024. 

SHEBOYGAN METROPOLITAN PLANNING AREA TIP: CALENDAR YEARS 2023 - 2026

 

The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area TIP: Calendar Years 2023 - 2026 on October 28, 2022. The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the 2023 - 2026 TIP at their joint meeting on October 27, 2022. The 2023 - 2026 TIP has been found to conform to the State Implementation Plan for Air Quality. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) approved the 2023-2026 TIP in a letter dated December 14, 2022.

MAJOR AMENDMENTS TO THE 2023 – 2026 TIP

Approved June 2023

Approved major and minor amendments to the 2023 – 2026 TIP can be found below (Changes to Table 6 are noted in grey shading):

These major amendments were subject to a 30-day public comment period and public hearing. The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recomended aapproval of the above amendments at their joint meeting on June 1, 2023. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at its meeting on June 9, 2023.

Approved major amendments to the 2023 – 2026 TIP can be found below (Changes to Table 6 and to the Fiscal Constraint Redemonstration are noted in grey shading):

These major amendments were subject to a 30-day public comment period and public hearing. The Sheboygan MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recomended aapproval of the above amendments at their joint meeting on February 23, 2023. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at its meeting on March 10, 2023. WisDOT approved the amendments in a letter dated April 12, 2023.

April 2023

The Sheboygam MPO Technical and Policy Advisory Committees recommended approval of the above amendments to their joint meeting on April 20, 2023. The Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission approved the amendments at its Executive Committee meeting on April 21, 2023.
