Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is an approach that promotes walking and bicycling to school through infrastructure improvements, enforcemtn, tools, safety education, and incentives to encourage walking and bicycling to school.
Luxemburg-Casco School District
Bay-Lake RPC is currently working with the Luxemburg-Casco School District to develop a Safe Routes to School Plan. This plan aims to improve the health and well-being of students by identifyng and addressing barriers to them being able to walk or bike to school safetly.
More information related to this ongoing plan can be found on the Luxemburg-Casco Safe Routes to School Portal. The online portal was created as a way to get information out to the parents, students, school leaders and the community about the plan.
