Community Assistance

The Commission’s Community Assistance program is designed to strengthen local planning activities by providing professional planning services on a contractual basis, while ensuring such plans are prepared in a consistent and coordinated manner. The Community Assistance program’s main focus is on the following:

Where local planning agencies and technical staff exist at the community level, regional planning programs are designed to supplement and complement the local planning programs. For communities where local planning agencies do not exist, the Commission’s Community Assistance program is designed to encourage the development of local planning activities.
