Bicycle Level of Traffic Stress Analysis for Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area

Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission (Bay-Lake RPC) is in the process of working on Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for the Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA). The plan will identify gaps in the bicycle and pedestrian network and make recommendations for creating a cohesive network throughout the MPA. The plan will also explore the usage of the existing infrastructure and the reasons for it not being used to its capacity.

As a part of this Master Plan, Bay-Lake RPC had issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Bicycle Level of Traffic Stress (LTS) Analysis for Sheboygan Metropolitan Planning Area (MPA).  Bay-Lake RPC aims to enhance their existing planning tools for the Sheboygan MPA, specifically focusing on improving bicycle and pedestrian networks. Bay-Lake RPC  signed a contract with a consultant in October 2023, to complete a bicycle level of traffic stress analysis for the Sheboygan MPA by March 2024.
